A FRENCHMAN WITH A RAZOR AND MISSION

A French Barber who aims to improve the look and attitude of the British male.

Daniel who is originally from Paris, has had many years of barbering experience. He also opened England's first skin care salon in London, when everybody else said he would fail, in 1980.

For several years he was the Gillette Barber and is still asked to lecture on shaving. He held monthly shaving lessons in his salon.

He also has a number of firsts to his name:

• He introduced skin care for men to this country. It was 20 years ago and everyone laughed at him at the time.
• To introduce electrolysis and waxing for men.
• To offer a male make over.
• To offer shaving lessons.
• To offer colour co-ordination with a stylist.
• First barber on the Internet.
• To offer a help line for shaving and skin problems.

Daniel has appeared in more than 350 TV shows and more than 300 radio programmes to discuss different aspects of male grooming.

He currently writes for FHM and for several magazines.

Daniel has also written a book on positive thinking and grooming, ' Hey Good Looking '.

"Hair and Skin care are now accepted as part of a man's daily routine," says Daniel, "it is not just women who spend time at the bathroom mirror".
